As a Camp Counselor, you will make camp a welcoming, fun, and creative place by combining creativity, integrity, passion, and hospitality. The Camp Counselor oversees all planned camp activities, participates in daily swimming, and maintains consistent communication with parents, staff, and campers.
Rate of Pay: $17.50 per hour. This role is considered seasonal.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:15 AM – 1:30 PM, 8:15 AM – 3:30 PM, and 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends required!)
Camp runs- June 16th - August 15th
All summer camp counselors are required to attend summer camp training on June 10th- June 13th, 9am-2pm.
Provide a safe, secure, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children and employees.
Lead campers in a variety of fun and engaging activities, such as art and crafts, STEM activities, physical activities, and games in the pool, in order to provide a memorable experience for them
Report any item on behavior that may pose a risk to the health and safety of staff, members, or guests, including any suspicious behavior, action, or policy violation.
Develop relationships with parents, guardians, children, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
Maintain open communication with the Director or Manager regarding activities, policies, and procedures.
Serve snacks and refreshments (verify allergies).
Ensure gym equipment is set up and taken down after use.
Follow all sanitizing procedures.
All other duties as assigned by management.
Must be authorized to work in the USA. We use E-Verify.
Experience working with children between the ages of 3 and 10 highly preferred.
Experience working with children in a childcare or camp environment is preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to stand, sit, crouch, and be active for sustained periods of time.
Must be able to stoop, kneel and crouch.
Must be to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work with children in a positive and outgoing manner along with displaying patience in all situations.
